Realize your potential more fully

"What is possible that I have never even considered?" That's a question I still ask myself regularly, especially when contemplating what I can be and do to realize my potential more fully.

All of us, even when we are super successful in our career, still haven't fully realized our full potential ..... because in truth there are no limits to our power and our potential.

Realizing our full potential is not a destination or an arbitrary point of maximum achievement. In my view, it's more about living life to the fullest in the moment.

Conventional thinking views the way to achieve full potential as a destination to reach or requires some special formula to obtain.  When you think about it, isn't that a crazy notion? Many of us invent a formula to follow as though things are going to come out the way we have decided they should come out. Too funny!

Instead of seeing it as a journey, a process of always becoming and changing, or an ongoing process of growth, many see it as a completion or an ultimate achievement of a life goal.  Sometimes we get so focused on attaining and reaching an arbitrary point  (whether that is our “full potential” or even our specific goal), we lose sight of being and living life to the fullest in the moment.

No matter how old we are, where we are living or what we are doing in life, we will never exhaust our capacity to grow toward our potential. Nor will we run out of new and different possibilities.

It doesn’t matter where you are now. Stop trying to reach full potential and start living life to the fullest in the moment. Even if all you do today is just choosing to have fun, to relish or luxuriate in whatever you're doing at the present moment, to be present, and to experience every moment to the fullest. This could be while you're drinking tea or coffee, conducting a meeting, or cooking dinner etc.

What if the target of our life was to have fun, to be present, and to experience every moment to the fullest?

It all starts with gratitude
